San Diego Steam Special (DVD)

X item(s)

Railroad history was made on June 1st, 2008 when former Santa Fe Railroad 4-8-4 steam locomotive 3751 pulled the San Diego Steam Special from Los Angeles to San Diego and return. This same engine guided the last steam powered passenger train to San Diego in August of 1953. Fifty-five years later, the 3751 is triumphantly returning to this resort city.

Daylight Productions (Official Videographer) was on hand to capture this historic event in its entirety with multiple camera crews. The San Diego Steam Special was sponsored by the Central Coast Railway Club, Pacific Locomotive Association and the San Bernardino Railroad Historical Society operators and custodians for the 3751.
